Supporting Foundation Guidelines

The mission of the Supporting Foundation of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation is to support the mission of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation. The Supporting Foundation gives priority to projects addressing needs in the areas of Jewish art and culture, community development, education, health, social welfare and/or any other special events that:

Are in accordance with the mission of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation

Promote Jewish art, culture, education, health, social welfare or community development

Promote general culture, education, health, social welfare or community development

Represent an innovative, start-up effort

Are capital in nature, i.e. construction, renovation, equipment

Promote collaboration among qualified organizations without duplicating services

Serve a broad segment of the community

The Supporting Foundation generally does not support fundraisers, endowment development or debt reduction, individual scholarships, private foundations, political projects, or other "cause-related" programs. Supporting Foundation applications must be postmarked by August 31th. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL YOUR APPLICATIONS. Submit the application via US mail to:

Applications postmarked after the deadline, incomplete applications or applications that do not include supplemental items will not be considered.
