OJCYF Accepting Grant Applications

YOUTH FOUNDATION ACCEPTING GRANT APPLICATIONS for 2011

The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation (OJCYF) is now accepting applications for grants. The Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation gives priority to projects addressing needs in the areas of Jewish and/or secular art and culture, community development, education, health, social welfare, elder care, human rights, homelessness, teen runaways and/or any other special events that:

Are in accordance with the mission of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation
Promote Jewish and/or secular art, culture, education, health, social welfare or community development
Promote general culture, education, health, social welfare or community development
Represent an innovative, start-up effort
Are capital in nature, i.e. construction, renovation, equipment
Promote collaboration among qualified organizations without duplicating services
Serve a broad segment of the community

The OJCYF generally does not support fundraisers, endowment development or debt reduction, individual scholarships, private foundations, political projects, or other "cause-related" programs.

The deadline for proposals is May 2, 2011. All applications must be postmarked no later than May 2, 2011 to receive consideration. The OJCYF Board will meet in May to vote on awards, and disbursements should be made by the end of July 2011.
