About the Foundation

Incorporated as a nonprofit in 1990, OJCF's mission is to create, promote and facilitate a culture of giving and to serve as a guardian of permanent funds available to safeguard the quality of Jewish communal life in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Our Values

These are our timeless guiding principles:

  1. Justice and Tzedakah (tikkun olam - repairing the world)
  2. Dor L'Dor - passing on the values, the importance of elders and youth alike
  3. Respect (listening, responsiveness, gemilut chasadim (acts of loving kindness))
  4. Integrity (truthfulness, sincerity, honor)
  5. Learning (love of Judaic wisdom and teachings, ever-expanding knowledge)
