Rabbi Steven Z. Leder to Speak at Second Annual Legacy Celebration in February

Save the date and join us for a very special evening to thank our community’s legacy supporters and to celebrate the successful conclusion of another year of LIFE & LEGACY.

BEING A GOOD ANCESTOR

We often fail to realize it, but every one of us is an ancestor in the making.  The essence of being a Jew is to live as a good ancestor.  Are we?  Are our values and faith deeply understood and embraced by our children and grandchildren who are being raised in a culture of excess and trivialization unlike any in all of human history?

Join OJCF and Rabbi Steven Leder, named by Newsweek magazine as one of America’s Ten Most Influential Rabbis, author of The Extraordinary Nature of Ordinary Things and More Money Than God: Living a Rich Life Without Losing Your Soul and Senior Rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles, for an experience that will help each of us become better ancestors for the generations of our family and our people yet to come.

When:
Wednesday, February 17, 2016
5:00-7:00 PM

Where:
Mittleman Jewish Community Center
6651 SW Capitol Highway, Portland

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
There is no cost to attend and there will be no fundraising.

RSVP: nates@ojcf.org
